1) How soon can an aircraft take off after the booking of a flight?

When you book a flight, an aircraft can be ready to fly in about 30 minutes. But due to high demand of flights mainly during the summer months of the year, it is best for you to arrange your required flight some time before.

2) How many passengers can fly with an aircraft?

It depends on the type of aircraft.
Superior Air can offer you a variety of aircraft types, starting from the Robinson 44 with the capability of carrying up to 2 passengers, to the Agusta 109C with the capability of carrying up to 7 passengers.

3) How fast can an aircraft fly?

The cruising speed of a Robinson 44 is 203 km (110 nautical miles) an hour. Indicative one route Athens – Santorini is about one hour and ten minutes. The Bell 407 cruising speed is 240 km (130 nautical miles) per hour. As an indication, the flight from Athens to Santorini with a Robinson 44 will take around 1 hour and 10 minutes, while a Bell 407 will do it in approximately 55 minutes.

4) Is it safe to fly with helicopters?

Helicopters are very safe. They can even fly without the engine running. All pilots are trained to fly and land a helicopter safely with the engine off. Superior Air has an excellent safety record and actions are taken constantly in order to enhance our safety level.

5) How can I book a flight?

You can easily book a flight using our online booking system. It will only take 3 minutes to register and then you will be able to login to our database, search and book any of the available routes and with any of the aircraft types available for that route at the specific date you are looking for. If you do not wish to register you can simply fill out the ‘’request a quote’’ form and one of our sales representatives will get back to you as soon as possible with a detailed quotation. 6) When I book a flight, will I receive confirmation?

You will receive confirmation from us with all the details of the itinerary. Type and specifications of the aircraft, time of departure and arrival at the destination, the exact point of departure and arrival as well as payment details.

7) Can i cancel an already booked flight?

8) Can we land anywhere?

Almost anywhere with a land owner permission, not in populated areas and respecting the privacy of the nearby residents.

9) What are the payment methods for the flight?

The acceptable payment methods are via credit card or through PayPal. We will accept a wire transfer as an exception, however the amount has to be credited at our bank account before the flight.

10) Are there any restrictions in aircraft flights in Greece?

We are allowed to fly only during daylight (from sunrise to sunset).

11) What is the maximum weight an aircraft can carry?

It depends on the number of passengers, baggage and fuel required for the flight.
Our sales dept. will have proposed the most suitable aircraft for the route requested depending on the number of passengers as soon as you request a flight.
Once you confirm a flight, Superior Air will request the actual passenger and baggage weights in order to ensure that the flight can be performed according to the aircraft’s specifications.

12) Are the passengers insured during the flight?

All passengers are insured according to articles 6 and 7 and 7.1 of Regulation (EC) No. 785/2004.

13) Can I take an aircraft instantly after arriving with an international flight?

Of course you can. If you arrive in a Greek Airport you will be picked up and escorted to the aircraft.
